I know that the three or so of you that read this may have noticed that I haven't been on in a week or so. I canceled my internet temporarily while I move, because I don't need the expense. I'm currently only online at friend's houses, or the local McDonalds... which is somewhat ironic I like to think. I hope it's ironic, or I'll die of a heart attack like the rest of us. Well actually maybe not give this a checkin' out.

New TV, and old job hunting strategies
Alright everyone what do you want to hear about first? Breaking Bad Season 4 being on Netflix, and how awesome that is? Harry's Law and how it was an awesome show that I feel deserves a third season? Firefly and how it's green lit for a fresh start on the Science channel? or how I think I may have landed my job that will let me finish up my local debts, and move to Cincinnati in less time than expected?
Well, guess what?!? I'm in the Post editor now and couldn't hear you if you did comment first of everyone! SO HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! We'll start with the new job. Because I have the least to say about it out of professional courtesy. So what can I say? I think I have one, and that's pretty damn spiffy. My last day at the Big-Box store I was formerly employed at was Sunday -two days ago-. It happened right after the bill paying and rent paying check... Righteous I know. But leaving me in Kentucky with still at least one more set of bills to pay and no revenue. So I plug and plug and plug my resume, finally I get a bite. Hopefully this works out and I can afford to get moved in and find maybe a second source of income, or find the time to find a way to make money for myself. As I seem to keep realizing is the only way out of this sick and twisted Proletariat maze. The first week of August, my Sister comes in from the Caribbean and we settle the last of some personal family legal such and stuff. Afterwards I'll have enough cash to move regardless, but it's nice to know I should be able to pay the bills after that. I cannot express how much I am excited to move to Cincinnati. Living here in Kentucky I feel like I'm just waiting until I'm too old to enjoy my life. FUCK That noise. So now that I've got my minute to vent... let's move on to TV talk. (I know, I'm getting less Science, and Politics, and more whatever the hell I want to write about... but that's how it's going to be some days. Eventually I'd like to layout my days by topics... then I'd have more compressed and satisfying streams of data to feed you all... but first I need to talk about whatever and hope I just generate some more viewers in the first place.
Breaking Bad Season 4, on Netflix.
This sentence... or title-like phrase. is the single reason I've brought my back up comforter out to the couch today... and yesterday... and the night before that. I couldn't recall where I left off watching illegally posted episodes of Season 4 online (Come on, who has Cable? it's not the 90's anymore.) So I did what any reasonably lazy pirate (who likely does not do anything.) would do.. I watched it non-stop forever and ever. Until just now when I queued up Vampire Weekend on Spotify to listen to while I blog and drink soup out of a mug. I feel that Breaking Bad, is doing write what so many 'modern' hits have done wrong before it. Mainly by these 'hits' I mean 'lost' and by modern I mean 'excluding this, things that J.J.Abrams has done' Because Mr. Abrams didn't have a hand in Breaking Bad, and for this I'm glad. Lost was a break show when it came out, and it like wise used temporally odd narrative techniques to keep the viewers intrigued and on the edge of their seat as much as possible.. but what did they do that I despise so much? They (obviously, and contrary to what they said.) did not either have to stick to a final script or outline. Lost followed the online community too closely, and did everything they wanted. I can attest as a former Lost Soul- so to speak I was there on the blogs, and their official website. I even got correspondence from Jorge who was one of my favorite cast members a couple of times. In the end however, they became a bone for the audience to chase after, and not at all the ripening story we wanted to follow. Breaking Bad however, Breaks it down real good. Everything is so well metered, the pacing never waivers. They don't have fill nothing, bullshit air-eater scenes like LOST did, Episodes are never pure re-itteration. This Show knew from the start, when and how, and where it would end I feel. All press releases be damned. That's what I have to say about Breaking Bad -No Spoilers included. You can thank me later.
Harry's Law, which is hard to find anywhere except WatchTV247.info if I remember my link correctly. I don't want to do a full link, because then the Bad guys will take my favorite show away. But I started watching this after I googled for shows that take place in Cincinnati before my big move. I found this and a show 30 years old about working in a radio station. Law show wins. Kathy Bates, and a slew of other familiar faces practice law in a shoe store in near-down-town cinci. It's a great contemporary and topical show that sadly only got two seasons. It's listed on Sidereel as concluded, but I really want a third season. I recommend this show will all my heart and soul... well all of someone who has a substantial amount of either's... But that's another story. This show from the bat deals with the decriminalization of drugs, the basis of the prison industrial system being a criminal mill that turns first time offenders into career criminals by killing all hopes for an educational future, and from there goes to such extremes as to question the legality of domestic drone surveillance. All of this while showing that you can be a republican without being what we see on TV. (which I'm not advocating anyone be a republican, don't get me wrong. I think the show does it as a contrast thing.) Long story short. I recommend it.

Finality, and how it doesn't mean what it thinks it means.
So, I sit here drinking a double shot espresso again, as my roommate's girlfriend has yet to take her fancy coffee machine, or boxes of coffee from my house still. (no qualms there.) I contemplate on how it's the last day at my current job, like most folk my job has certain non-disclosure contracts to which end I'll be vague. But I assemble for this Big-Box home repair store, and it's been a great job honestly. Legos for grown ups really. Of course it didn't hurt that my Co-Worker and I both have the same taste in music, literature, and the pursuit of philosophical knowledge. It was a sometimes frustrating, but always enjoyable job. So now I'll likely be in a bind should I not get another job before I move to Cincinnati (which I thought was what people meant by Sin-City for a while... nope.) Either way, some personal stuff wraps up in my life in august granting me both money to move, and earning potential to sustain myself more passively. I'll be up there paying off my modest student loan debt, and returning to school to wrap up my English and philosophy studies and then onto Chase Law hopefully. But I feel I've typed a large amount of this before to a large extent, in my last entry.
It seems I pick the best times to start blogging again. Once again we have a laughable political competition between two parties that do not fully satisfy the voters, we still don't have a form of alternate vote in the US of A, to allow third party voter confidence either, or to even ensure a solid majority rule for that matter. This election year comes down to a Crooked failed governor and CEO, versus a rather successful low-spending over compromising incumbent president. Of course some hope comes with faith in the continued pattern of the two term democrat, wherein the first term safeguards the second term, and the second term they actually seem to have balls. I still don't think Obama will legalize Marijuana however, my reasoning is somewhat about racism. If the first black president legalized marijuana, the republicans would yet again have an issue that they originally championed to chastise liberals and minorities for. The one solid factor in our political system however, (most certainly is not the democrats, or their voting records.) the republicans can always be counted on blame others for problems they aggravate in order to highlight the fact that government has the potential to harm. Kind of like shooting people, to let them know about gun safety... Over and over again. If I had the time to look up my citations I'd go on a rant here about how Saudi money controls the GOP propaganda machine, and is fine with keeping the population here destabilized and profits from being somewhat stable in a war torn region... until some recent riots that is.

Hopefully the global riots will lead to something greater than individual change. Seeking human rights, and fair economic policies in individual countries as great as that might be, and as necessary as it would be.. it pales in comparison to the necessity of an end to nationalist concepts. In a world with no borders, we cannot be told which imaginary lines make men into monsters. Lies propagate all war, whether it's religious extremists in the US government, or the hills of Arabic countries we so long ago devastated to control the oil markets. Or Cold War era 'us versus them' mentalities which cultivated fear and refusal to understand first the Soviets, and more recently the Chinese. And I'm sure there are just as meaningful foreign examples, but I have only the pleasure to live in the United States of America... which is in large part why I am so free to criticize it. It is however daunting that we now allow our police forces to use drone surveillance robots.. but on the other hand I am totally down the the EPA using them to monitor safe waste disposal, and clean water practices. But that's all opinion piece let's get down to actually important stuff. Science!

(which btw, are 3x the volume of the ISS, and actually laid out like an earth building, with floors rather than tin-cans attached via pvc connectors lol.).

The Higgs Boson, -or 'That God Damned Particle' in other more recent news has been not only detected, with verifiable data several times now, has far more implications than explaining 4% of mass associated with baryonic structures such as ourselves. (most people claim it assigns all mass, but strong and weak nuclear force actually have a good deal more of the share in that burden.)
What exactly does the Higgs Boson do that is so revolutionary? Well, in this bloggers caffeine riddled understanding (and opinion in terms of assigning grandeur -I'm like my own Higgs Boson in that way.)
It assigns mass, by interacting with particles in such a way that it instigates a resistance to movement, this is measured in turn a contributing factor to the mass of said particles. But this interaction may not be entirely limited to what we currently understand as baryonic matter. Dark Matter is also heavily theorized to interact with the Higgs boson in the same way! Why am I so excited by this that I choose to use an exclamation point? Well, my logic is as follows (flawed as perhaps it may be.) to understand the Higgs Boson, is to one day readily find, or generate said particle in laboratory conditions> if the Higgs boson can manipulate the resistance level of Dark Matter, then that moves us towards being able to find, and possibly contain said material for study, and potential future use. Perhaps the Higgs Boson could even one day provide a stable way to contain anti-matter, for 1 to 1 Matter to energy conversion drives on starships. Or Sadly more likely to destroy areas of the world where we think they have resources and are not anglo. As my understanding goes, there are implications into fields that I haven't even begun to understand, such as computing, telecommunications, and electronics. We'll have to wait and see.
On the subject of Dark Matter I'd like to just mention before I have to get ready for work. That we've recently directly observed a thin layer of massive dark matter connecting two galaxies, providing sustenance to our growing understanding of Dark Matter's role as a connective structuring filament for our universe which connects (maybe dictates the origin points of) the large observable galactic formations which comprise our universe -to our understanding. Wine and Espresso in the morning.
Bleh... With this kind of sleep schedule I should live on a farm. LoL. I've decided though, with all this time to think. I am passionate about Space Science, but all of my previous education experience is setup to transition to a humanities based end game such as law. And I am passionate about that too. Perhaps with increasing my earning potential instead of throwing all my college so far to scrap and following my dreams... I can one day have a job that allows me to earn enough to invest in my other passions. Sometimes you gotta call your talents where they lay, and your heart where it lays too. Bah what's it matter anyways right now. I've still got a few grand in financial aide to pay off, or at least into the good before I start back to classes... though that could be sooner than later, could also be later than sooner.
So it looks like I'm going to stay on this blog as a lay-scientist, perhaps my interest in law can provide some relevance to issues. Hell I'm an interested self-declared genius one way or the other. I prefer it one way, perhaps it works out the other but like I've said I guess it doesn't matter in the end. I am however still going to proceed with my innovations firm, which plans to work heavily with a new era of space based business.
I'll be moving to the Cincinnati area in a month and a half, at the most two months. This largely depends on getting a job there, or not being able to get a job here haha! But I go to tour apartments while visiting my old roommates, for their birthday. Live in girlfriend of other fellow Blogger Comic Chaos, who I will retain some anonymity for out of respect for the grand ol' internet. But I'll get to see those apartments on the 26th at 9:30am I'm excited. Craigslist should help me find a job. that's the plan anyhow.

Review of Vincent Jedselius' premiere album 'WebCam Stories'
I know I don't usually do music reviews. But this album really takes the Cake IMO, and needs to get some attention.
WebCam Stories - Vincent Jedselius
The first album by Fagersta, Sweden's own Vincent
Jedselius. A modern folkish take on today's life,
the lyrics and musical accompaniment are sure to
take the listener on a melodic stroll through
their own self-reflection. In my opinion This
entire album is a hit, it really connects with my
Kentucky soul. Maybe it's the similar geographies
between Morehead, Kentucky and Fagersta, Sweden?
Then again maybe it's the universality of the
human condition. Below is the link, and on a
final note I'll recommend my favourite track
before I go - "Let's call her Whiskey" certainly
speaks to this Ol' Kentucky Soul.

Back to the scene
Time once again, to start Blogging. And as such here is my Blog starter Blog entry.... How about them Oppressive world governments we all have across the world eh? Wouldn't it be nice to realize that we don't have borders. They are only in the mouths of our leaders, and the minds of our children. The guns they give us help keep peace away at night. Fear is the enemy in a world built for lovers. So why are you afraid? let's all get over it together, with resolve and an understanding of who we are and what we all share. I'll post again later tonight on recent SpaceX developments following the first successful Docking of a commercial ship with the ISS. China completes their first crewed orbital docking. Making them the first government to join the ranks of manned space capable Governments and Corporations (post the inclusion of corporations that is.) But seriously I like them for that, we need the pressure so we start putting space money back into NASA instead of leaving it all in the air force. Speaking of which the Governments worst kept secret Space Plane landed after 496 days in orbit of earth... after I figure out who is honking.
something strange about that when the airforce has a replacement shuttle basically before NASA has even considered it. But I am glad that we retired the shuttle program, it was necessary. Now we can ride safely in modern craft every time, which is to say I wouldn't be happy if we were going to rely on being overcharged by the Russians to ride in their tuna cans either. A working class zero is something to be
Well it's been a long time off, and I don't have much prepared right now with the exception of some personal information. I can of course come back later to talk about recent planetary news, and technologically specific topics in the recent weeks, and days.
I found some work as a chicken wing chef, let's call it. That's something, it's a lot easier to blog with the bills paid, but there isn't as much to distract myself from with it now. Especially with an average readership of less than 10. Or 3. I moved, from a place that was fairly shitty as well, into a place that's pretty nice.
I began in a conversation with a group on reddit about some entrepreneurial space interests that we felt some random interested minds could collaborate on the development, or support for the development of technologies that we feel will provide much needed industry to a world that is ready for it. I'd like to see this industry come and replace the various industries that harm and pollute this earth. I have some plans, and I think they'll be neat. haha. I'll be back later with some actual news on the developments of whatever I talk about.

Short Entry, first in a while. I filed a patent!
I don't know what I'm within good wisdom to discuss. But I have filed for a Provisional Patent as of today. There are a few things I need to get over, a fee I need to save up for. But it's not too bad, and I get half off because I am a 'small entity' instead of a corporation. It may well be a long process, and I've got some follow up patents I want to file when I save up for them aswell. I think I can afford reasonably to file one patent a month until I get a job, which would allow me to greater freedom, at the cost of my time. Hopefully I can grab onto this, and get it done. Because that's the plan.

Congress to cut funding for milestone NASA programs while leaving the Department of War expenses High enough to cover the current NASA expenses for half a century in only two years!
So wow, yeah. Long time without writing. so I'll just jump right into things. I've been collaborating with my good buddy Comic Chaos over at 'anthem of impending doom' which you all non-existant people should definitely give a checking out too. The project is a webcomic but I'm not going to go into details, mutually exclusive la de da happy dappy wonder pup type stuff you know. I'm excited about that and you all will be sure to be informed when the pilot arc premieres, meanwhile check out the art over on my good buddies blog I mention previously.

Down to business, up with Trouble!
As I was saying earlier I am back with some rants about the benefits of current NASA undertakings in the short term, as well as a bit on Hanson Robotics and basically some general updates from the world of Artificial intelligence.
NASA has a lot going for it that seems to culminate in 2015-2016 which have started progress towards their goals already, or are in early development. I will round the bases with a few of the more stunning projects being undertaken by the American public works space program... which I suppose becomes the accurate description in this day and age of private technological power and corporate right. (not that I really like *both* of those that well at all...) Getting to the point check-out the following.
Juno A five year mission to Jupiter which will perform 32 close orbits of the planet monitoring below the thick upper atmosphere for chemical composition, as well as magnetic and gravitational field readings to determine the answers to certain questions about the deep structure of Jupiter and the evolution of planets in general. The mission launches in August 2011 and will reach it's destination in 2016.(my money is on the close orbit Jupiter mass exo-planets we find with our planet hunter missions. of one nature or another. being an early stage instead of late stage planet. I'd explain but I digress.)
The Excitingly named Mars Science Laboratory, or 'Curiosity'. Whatever name you want to call it by, it comes with a pack of instruments what would put batman to shame... were batman a robot on mars that is. The Mars Science Laboratory is exactly what it sounds like. Capable of performing tests on particle intake from atmospheric and geological sources, as well as monitoring for radiation and performing advanced spectrometry. Scheduled for launch in the summer of 2011, you can currently watch the crew prepare and previously build the exploratory vehicle live online at NASA.
Finally however, the most exciting news for me. The James Webb Space Telescope, which I know I've mentioned before. This is to me, ample reason to be excited for the year 2016 as far as new data is concerned. The James Webb Space telescope will be able to accurately measure chemical data from the atmospheres of exo-planets hundreds of light-years from earth. Coupled (once again) with the explosion of exoplanet data from the Kepler missions.
will give us for the very first time in human history a way to accurately examine our galactic neighborhood on a significant scale within the range of feasible communication and future ability to transport.
All of this in short is why I can't wait for 2016. Of course like I promised a bit on Hanson Robotics... that bit is to say I'm sure I'll get on here later tonight. Maybe tomorrow. But expect it.

Random update about something
Dear Internet, I have no idea what I am about to say. So bear with me. ... I bet that's bare with me... I'd better leave the question rather than finding an answer the readers will think I knew both. Even those who know a lie will think I was correct Muwahahahahaha!
However, I'd like to give you notice of the fact that I now have a phone friendly version of my blog running in a neat all white alternative. I thought it was pretty Ok. So I was thinking, about fringe science and future thoughts. and other than recommending that you check out Ray Kurzweil's 2009 documentary about his life and it's relation to his idea of the technological singularity concept. Transcendent Man(which is on Netflix, which by the way I linked to I couldn't find anything on the legality of that I'll let time heal that wound. I'm really enjoying this spontaneity concept... it has more potential for adventure. In it's ways.) Something I would like to spend some of my time and well earned frustration on is ranting about common held scientifically inaccurate beliefs which help fuel some well structured philosophical houses of cards. The problem I find with philosophy, is that it ignores what of the world is accessible to define the inaccessible. The Polymaths are long dead, and the thinkers have divided into schools of thought which do not act cohesively or together. You cannot understand the world, if you devote your life to the understanding of only one concept. It would be better to be a well versed fool, than a genius in an era that does not need your understanding. I don't mean to advertise that I personally agree with 100% of myself to what Ray Kurzweil says... however I think that that his ideas on the philosophy of invention are very common sense, you have to stick your neck out to get your head chopped off in the first place kind of stuff. About the pros of risking losing one's head I suppose. Rather than the more obvious cons. Of-course I mean this all metaphorically. Jaque Fresco, Nikolai Tesla, Tycho Brahe, Nicholas Copernicus, Giordano Bruno, Galliei Galileo, Johanes Kepler these people thought about the future. They didn't concern themselves with the limitations of the present, the present is the consequences for the past, the future is the consequences of the present, so when we manipulate the present we should do so in the mindfulness of the future, not the in knee-jerk reaction to the past. But that is my rant about dead scientists. to some extent, but only mostly dead. However. It's too damn hot, My SNES is now in full repair so it and a high velocity fan keep me busy a lot these days. 'Illusions of Gaia' all the way.
I'll get back to ranting here later tonight hopefully. I'd like to spend a little time catching up on what Hanson Robotics has been up too. As well as visit a bit on What Nasa will be doing in the short term that might be exciting.
Until I do however, I suppose I won't have yet.

A moment of accepted science for Mars Rover Spirit
Nasa lost contact with Mars Rover Spirit, one of two rovers currently serving on mars as exploratory science drones, in march of 2010. Earlier today Nasa stopped listening for the signal to tune back in from Spirit, giving her body to the sands of mars. The cause of death, is unknown but not unexpected.
Private tourism goes Circumlunar as soon as 2015
That is thanks to Space Adventures, a company you may remember from April of 2001, Space Adventures hosted then the first private space tourist visitation to the International Space Station. According to this article Space Adventures has sold one of two 100 Million to 150 Million dollar tickets aboard the first circumlunar voyage, including a lengthy stay on the ISS, and a 7 day voyage around the earth and moon coming as close as 100 km to the lunar surface. Before a return trip lasting three and a half days that is. So who will buy this lucky open seat? And more importantly what does this bold initiative mean for fringe business heads like Elon Musk, and Sir Richard Branson? Hopefully a lot.

New take on things.
My laptops dead, life is weird yadda yadda. Point is I don't have time to structure my posts or make them as frequently as I did. So I am going to make unregular short posts when I get the inspirations. (Subject to later -more sober- editing of course, make sure I'm citing and giving links instead of just babbling. However if I may give a bit of Babble.
Check this out first of all; read the article of course it's nice. But The last, or in the item numbers next to last photo is an artistic representation of a Jupiter size planet in an extreme elliptical. It really got my gears spinning and I thought sharing would be in good order. Also I forgive for the link being to the christian science monitor, it just happened to be what I stumbled into.
Epsilon Eridani. That'd be an interesting system to see. A Jupiter mass planet with satellites that gets as near Epsilon Eridani, it's sun as earth is from our sun, and as far from it's sun as Jupiter is from ours. 10.5 ly from earth. I really like reading the things that are being found in the Kepler and Wise and SWEEPS data. I think sending probes would be a neat way to test experimental engines and make a few jobs. If you want to make an omelet. You've got to break eggs.

Happy Holidays
Happy Four and Twenty. Ladies and gentle-ents Sorry I didn't have an update yesterday.
Shit was real weird. First of all I get a message on Bookface, as it were, and come to find out a green truck, and a white van have been parking outside my recently-dead father's house. I had to get a ride out to look and see what was taken. yada yada yada, they took a bunch of stuff outside, but didn't actually break in so it was shitty but alright. That's about as personal as i want to get with this here internet box before I jump into today's political rant, and very importantly. Before I get back to my previous format of having links in the title-esq segues I would use. I liked that, and forgot about it. So I'm going back to that and going to be playing around with using youtube video of clips I liked, and want to share... don't worry not kitten's with mittens, but there are some news clips, or science announcements I would like to speak for themselves from time to time.

WISE data, Water MASERs, and Variable Specific Impulse Magneto-plasma Rockets Oh my! (Also a shout out to UsUncut, and UkUncut. Fighting Corporate Tax Dodgers for the good of the world.)
Alright everyone, welcome to the internet and day two of this years go at keeping 'Future in the Rough' as a blog. Also I plan on choosing a day of the week (after I find the usb cable for my camera.) where I can start posting a video blog entry.. just got to get a backdrop, set up a corner of the room as a studio and bam. It should be fun, and it'll be a convenient segue into showing off the all the work I want to do with film this year.
So I'm excited about this. The Weekly video will be a little saner than my usual blog posts probably because I'll be attempting to make a bit of sense, versus this Half-venting half-informative political, and science blog. So I'll try and talk about a few more relevant issues, but mainly a lot of what I find to be underplayed news. But we'll come to that when I get around to implementing it. (within a week.)
I did a lot of crazy fuck the police rants yesterday so let's change the pace a bit and open up with NASA's first payload of Visual Data from the WISE skymapping spacecraft, which scanned the entire night sky in the infrared spectrum. The project revealed among other barely radioactive beauties in the night sky 19 NEO (Near Earth Objects) which warrant higher concern to the earth due to size and proximity of orbit. I know this sounds alarming but I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.'
Here is a link to a popsci.com article discussing what I found to be particularly interesting. Rather, perhaps beautiful is a better word to describe my fascination with the article's topic being what they call 'Cosmic water fountains' found within our own Milky way Galaxy. Technically what they are talking about is the presence of large cosmic clouds of water particles traveling at speeds of up to 350 km per second. These are objects are identified as 'Water Fountains' a type of 'Maser' which is a large Microwave laser signal. Masers of this particular nature can be found in nebulae wherein there is active star formation, or surrounding a dying star. The water in the molecular clouds absorb, amplify and re-emit the present energy to give off the microwave laser signals which indicate their locations.
I know, kind of an old concept cleaned up by new data. Hydrocarbons are among some of the most simple, and abundant baryonic substances in our visible known universe by current understanding. However, the concept of cosmic sized water clouds being flung into intra-galactic space. It not only sounds beautiful, but stands as a beacon to the availability of resources needed for our concepts of habitation. I find that touching, in that Carl Sagan sort of way.
Finally back to NASA before I jump off here for a quick break before going into my daily thoughts on politics. This is a link to a very exciting conceptual engine which they have been experimental since 1977 but starting this year, is being prepared to test on the ISS in 2014. A Plasma drive orbital adjustment engine. So I'm sure you are either confused and excited, or not-confused because you read the link and excited... or not-confused and unexcited (which I call secret confused.) So I'll Assume all three and get more specific. It's called the Variable Specific Impulse Magneto-plasma Rocket. VASIMR. The linked PDF here shows on page 25, and in much further detail beforehand in the PDF if you are curious enough to check it out, there are some projections for the range of time we could develop these solar powered, plasma propelled craft as solar efficiency rises and they are able to use higher MW engines. The difference between the 500kw engine that will be tested on the ISS later this year and theoretical 2.5MW engine hauling similar crafts with equal fuel weights is 1557 days at 500kw (this engine will just be to correct ISS orbit from time to time at drastically lower fuel cost.) compared to 426 days with a 2.5MW engine. In terms of months as the table shows that is 52 months over 14 months. At current the competitors for engine models remain largely Nuclear, and Chemical rockets. Cost Efficiency and speed are the two driving forces which could propagate this engine in today's inter-political, or commercial space market.

Bank of America, Verizon, FedEx, GE, and BP are major targets of UsUncut for their individual crimes of tax evasion. In this aspect the US movement still mirrors the UK movement as they shine the same light on more European situated companies such as Vodafone, Boots, Sir Philip Green, Tesco and supermarket brands, as well as large UK banks.

UsUncut started by Carl Gibson of Mississippi, who was influenced by the decentralized protest against corporate tax evasion in the UK known as UkUncut; is working hard to get the word out against the same corporate tax evasion taking place in the united states. Bank of America, Verizon, FedEx, GE, and BP are major targets of UsUncut for their individual crimes of tax evasion. In this aspect the US movement still mirrors the UK movement as they shine the same light on more European situated companies such as Vodafone, Boots, Sir Philip Green, Tesco and supermarket brands, as well as large UK banks.

Restarting this blog The right way. Ranting about large portions of our Society and how we run it.
Today has been kinda a long drawn out day. But that could be the hangover. Man, has there been a lot to blog about since I've been dormant. So I suspect this'll be a long ranty one. I'll keep the newer ones more segmented.
Okay every - one.
It's been a year and three/four days since I made my last post. I started this, and put it aside and stopped doing it. But well, the ranting is back and I need to vent about Space News, and my extremely unorthodox political views about society.
Democracy is spreading in the middle east they said months ago when Tunisia's revolution began kicking off what has been called the Jasmine Revolution or 'Arab Spring'. Later revolution spreading to Egypt and Algeria; here, four months later Bahrain, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Jordan are among the names of the largest countries seemingly influenced and effected by the revolutions, into their own actions. There are talks of what is called on one Al-Jazeera opinion piece a 'peace troika' between Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Israel. This could a historic moment for middle east peace.
This has a lot of people in the United States and elsewhere taking notice of their live, and situations. Questioning the social, and judicial systems that confine their lives... What of this is necessary? what of this is too much? can we really come into a peaceful modern future with the ideologies, and structure useful to a bygone people, and era who inhabited a vastly unknown world which doubtless orbited in an unknown void of space. Now, I am not saying that basic structure has not remained constant at the very core of humanity and of the societies which we are host to and part of. But that being said there are some key issues I think I have with some of the unnecessary aspects of society which could be re-managed in ways which would allow them to take greater advantage of their available resources such as money.
What am I talking about? well, and this is going to sound wild at first. We shouldn't rely on the police to provide justice for non-violent crimes, we should use lawyers. I'm talking about massive police cut backs, and re-distribution of policemen to areas experiencing more violent crime. But In areas where the crimes are of a predominantly non-violent nature the burden of Justice should fall on the victim to take advantage of a city appointed lawyer (which we will need way more of, and lawyers are an overcrowded worker base as well, at the moment.)
When I talk about Non-violent crime what do I mean? I mean victimless crime, would be put in the hands of the citizens, whereby illegal non-violent actions are considered 'actionable' instead of 'illegal' and any offended citizen can rightfully sue the person for money, or compensation for violating the law. This compensation process will provide justice, and punishment. Eliminating the use of holding cells for non-violent crimes, and crimes where there is no present statement of concern about the defendants plan to run. Perhaps if we have a system of making a license invalid out side of town, until the court date that could get around the whole bail/bondsman relationship and issue but cops would need to treat runners like violent offenders in this case meaning they would pursue them. If the defendant does not appear in court, in addition to a fine from the courts.
What I effectively mean here, is that I want to ensure the rights of the people to produce, or consume anything they desire as what I would consider fair considering all people on equal footing (hypothetically) in terms of who fits the bill of 'responsible adult'. However substances deemed illegal could be actionable by any offended party, so the school could sue you for smoking pot. But your neighbor is a dick if he does, but if it's on his land sure he's a victim. A roommate of mine suggested that this seems like a rather horrid process, which I told him was the determent from committing non-violent offenses.. people will sue you. You will have the right to a trial which you will be charged for fleeing if you did so, and be treated humanely as possible and eliminating need for holding cells, or guards in most non-violent cases.
This would also mean that non-violent crimes could be mostly solved with monetary exchange, and we could see a drop in people arrested by the now lowered number of police over data they happen to uncover during a warranted unrelated investigation. But an steady stream of people who rape, fight, murder, steal, molest, or eat other people (granted they weren't eaten with consent that is.) Filling up the ample Jail space to serve their time, with a small enough portion of non-violent criminals that were deemed needing of jail time by the courts that could be maintained by the minimum security facilities we already have too many of, and keep over-full of too many non-violent criminals. I'm not saying you couldn't goto jail for this shit.. just only if you are stupid and offensive with your non-violent crime on someone elses property, or on your property to a visitor. And I think it's fair to say you could call the cops in any situation where you are too scared to know what to do properly for investigative assistance and preparation for court as they would today. But with More of their budget freed up for cool things like suped up cars, and nice labs like they have on TV shows.
Jobs you say? This would kill them? well... yeah or at least make them move to where they are needed. But Imagine the stress it would relieve from the Lawyers looking or work, not to mention the generations of law school grads to come. We have a lot of lawyers in the U.S. and we're only making more. For this to work, we need more lawyers this creates a demand, or deficit of lawyers over time unless the public is encouraged to seek law as a profession.. Perhaps they should have a large federal union they could work for, maybe even this would require the formation of a new institution of Modern Society. A social program that manages fleets of some kind of cross between a lawyer, and a cop. Imagine that... *shivers* alright, I see my roommate's point. But still Imagine the power that would put into people's hands. The Motivation it would provide the people to be active in the legal affairs of themselves and their nation. Active and aware people, a concerned people, and a judicially represented people.
I'll write more about this later in my even wilder spiel about what we could do now to get the attention of major Corporations in America that are playing games with us at the National level, and at the personal level by becoming more aware of your rights to legal representation, and the power of the proletariat.

4/14/2010 observations on the news and technology
So it's been a fair moment since my last post. However for purposes of looking better than a slacker, I've been waiting for the news to get awesomer... *erhrmm* more awesome. A few things up in particular here, from a nanovaccine curing type one diabetes in mice, nanovaccine tests on humans for skin cancer showing positive results, Chrysler and NASA strike deal with R&D and Obama to come about with a cohesive goal for government's hand in space and what that means to job creation in commercial space. Let's quit the run on sentence and jump into the body of this post.
Obama to address goals of the US in space.
An exciting article is linked too above. tomorrow President Obama will deliver an address on his goals for human spaceflight. Among what the president is suspected to talk about is the shift of launch vehicle construction and operation to private business. The derived intention is that of being able to redirect NASA's resources to the construction of a "true spaceship" capable of interplanetary conveyance to the moon, Mars, or Venus for example. His plan also includes a $6 Billion dollar budget increase for NASA over five years. a few of my favourite pre-emptive points are complained about in the following link which leads to an article more critical of the presidents handling of space matters.

Chrysler and NASA strike a deal.
Chrysler and NASA strike a three year deal with one another. This deal contains no financial trade, but it is entirely a three year ideological partnership for R&D purposes. The linked article states the reasoning as follows.
"The goal is to share knowledge and fill in the gaps for each other,” he said. “For example, there may be an area that Chrysler has better covered than NASA and vice versa.” - Nick Cappa, Chrysler spokesman "latimesblogs.latimes.com"
Just what does this have in store for either company? more fuel efficient spaceships? Radiation resistant cars? Cloth top shuttle design? Who knows, well to tell the truth it's probably out there if you google hard enough. (in the words of Dubya) 'Heh'.
Nanotech Cancer treatments tested in humans
Nano particles have been an exciting field to watch for sufferers of many diseases and disorders as one of a wave of possible 'miracles of science' however one exciting test recently shines light on the possibility of this not being too far fetched of a bet. A Nano particle cocktail which homes to cancerous proteins within the body with a portion of it's contents and destroys the cancerous tissues have just been tested in humans. The technique specifically is called RNA interference. Scientists say that using these protein specific medicine delivery systems we could not only target specific cells for medication, or augmentation, but could also track conditions internally in ways previously unavailable to us.

Scientists have successfully used nanoparticles coated with proteins which suppress the harmful T-cells which normally act to destroy beta cells in the pancreas. The technology demonstrated is useful to the treatment of other autoimmune diseases such as arthritis, and MS the article goes on the say. I hope that we see alot from the field of nanotech.

3/23/2010 Observations from the news
Good Morning Interweb,
Delving into the World Wide Web this early morning (late evening... let's be honest) I have fished up a few neat articles for you to chew on. Don't forget to check the ticker up top for what I might have passed up! Be sure and let me know if I seem obvlious. (I'm testing you all for worth.) hah not really... well ok maybe, but it's a graduated scale.
What we have here tonight are the premier test run of Virgin Galactic's Space Ship Two, dubbed 'VSS Enterprise', Stunning results on observations of the so called 'dark flow' indicating Gravity wells 'outside' of the perceivable universe, possible developments in the ESA's Automated Transfer Vehicles, and a nanotechnology breakthrough that could mean a revolution in non-toxic cancer treatment.

Virgin Galactic launches a 2hr 54minute 'Captive Carry' test of the VSS Enterprise at an altitude of 45,000 feet, 5000ft short of the international space boundary. This is the first of many saftey runs which Branson indicates will come in three stages a 'Captive Carry' which will involve the VSS Enterprise testing aeronautics, and onboard systems. After sufficient testing the vessel will go through unpowered glide tests, followed by final powered flight tests. The VSS Enterprise and it's ilk should be ready by 2011 or 2012 or provide tourist a spectacular view worth the $200,000 ticket. Suspected to pay off the company's startup within it's first four years Virgin Galactic has already collected over $45Million dollars in Deposits for flights on the Space Ship. The ship itself seats six comfortably with room to enjoy an unseated weightless experience during the flights. I mentioned Virgin Galactic in my previous posts as holding a 1.6Billion dollar NASA contract, which in my estimation will only further their industry into the realm of orbital Earth flight, and possibly bring them (and us) closer to the reality of private lunar structures.

The National Geographic reports that the supposed 'dark flow' stretching beyond the boundaries of the known universe indeed has a larger influence than previously though. Extending from 2.5 Billion light years from Earth, and our system a flow of hundreds of Galaxy Clusters appear to be moving at sppeds of 2.2 million miles or 3.6 Million Kilometers an hour, in the same direction due to the percieved influence of a gravitational force beyond the Cosmic X-ray Background. The known boundary of our universe. The solidification of this discovery says alot towards the acceptance of our universe being part of a larger multi-verse environment. The questions that remain are what exactly does exist beyond where we can perceive? Were these things even related to our own universes creation and expansion? or do they somehow tie into our origins. Perhaps we shall see as the mystery of our origins seem to become less and less of a mystery by the day.

The construction of Europes Third Automated Transfer Vehicle is to be named after Italian space pioneer Edoardo Amaldi, who worked with Enrico Fermi with a group of other scientist for the discovery of slow neutrons. The ATV is named such in honor of Italy's participation in the unified European efforts concerning the ISS. Future adaptations of their ATVs hope to fit the vehicles for reentry allowing for return trips approximately every 17 months, with the capacity to carry 6.6 metric tons of cargo. The heightening of Europes participation in the industrialization and exploration of space is certainly a welcome idea, and I for one would feel odd without a european influence on such a extra-global frontier.

A process showing favorable results on animal testing, and in limited human testing has shown the ability to turn off the genes allowing cancer to grow. Nanoscale machines covered in a protein called transferrin enter into the blood stream, target cancerous cells and begin to break down the tumor cells and deactivate the gene responsible for their growth. This could prove an effective and non-toxic method for treating cancer. Testing however is in the early stages. The nanoparticles used in this method are called small interfering RNA, which through a process known as 'RNA intererence' literally go in and eliminate only the target problem protein strands.

Some thoughts on unpopular Space Politics (short)
I finds that more and more each day he actually comes around to Obama's proposal of focusing NASA on orbital missions and putting alot of the weight on Commercial space industry. However feels uncertain as to whether commercial space can viably leave Earth Orbit (though certain Orbitals and moon reaching missions are within reason) within the next 15 or 20 years. However, The Increase of pressure may stand to create an industrial boom in a previously almost non-existent market. Though, does feel that the government will not be able to keep their hands out of space once the frontier becomes profitable for the people. Perhaps NASA would be invigorated by a more aggressive administration who sought to disenfranchise the commercial space entrepreneurs and extend military reach to space outposts under the guise of protection... but that's in generations to come. For now, let's see. Keep up the good work SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, and company may industry prevail.

I can't leave this half assed first blog without giving some mention to the recent passage of the Health Care Reform bill's main body of legislation and the beginning of a week or more (hopefully not too much more -looking at you obstructionists) of amendments. While we enter into this I would like people to take note of their elected officials' views and office phone numbers and, for my sake and your's push for a public option so we can take some great steps to keep premiums down while maximizing the benefits of our deductibles, eh? But my goals don't just stop there.
Next stop pushing for a Public Option, getting the troops home, Nuclear Disarmament, reformation of factory farming procedures, Legalization of marijuana, mimicking the Swedish narcotics reform program, reallocating defense budget to the noble sciences, kick starting a global commercial space race, In the process straightening out the economy and using the unemployed to flesh out new markets that will spring forth with a simultaneously brought about green industrial revolution to rival the original one. 20 years eh? I think I can do it, and so can you. Oh yeah, about forgot but... metric system anyone?

Alright, so we'll probably be a little politically heavy until well.. until the world's perfect lol, but I will try and get on here later and post a little more on the world of science. Hopefully I've set a good pace for the rest of the blog, rehashing a lot of what I've talked about in less localized medium. Keep on diggin' the news, look to the stars, and remember if you don't call your senator with your opinion that doesn't mean other people aren't calling with theirs.

I can't leave this half assed first blog without giving some mention to the recent passage of the Health Care Reform bill's main body of legislation and the beginning of a week or more (hopefully not too much more -looking at you obstructionists) of amendments.
